University of Manitoba

The primary purpose of the University of Manitoba is to provide post-secondary education to the student body. There are currently 21 different faculties and colleges offering these academic programs. The University is home to, or partner in, over 40 research centres, institutes, and shared facilities that foster collaborative research and scholarship. The University ranks among the top research universities in Canada, and is the only research intensive university in Manitoba. Finally, there are numerous programs in athletics, community involvement, fundraising, extended education, and collaborative efforts with business and industry.
