As a community-based nonprofit organization, TVLA helps adults build essential literacy skills by bringing together learners, volunteers and staff to explore skills that will meet learners personal and work-related needs. We begin by assessing a student's literacy level and other basic skills. Once we understand the learner's situation, we help him or her set realistic goals that meet the his or her needs and objectives.
