FEAT - After School Program

FEAT’s Youth City Centre offers free after school programming for children (6-9 years) and youth (10-12 years) with a family member who has been in conflict with the law. Our program is designed to empower at-risk children and youth by providing the opportunity to build positive peer relationships, develop social skills and learn healthy choices at home, at school and in the community.

Youth City Centre provides a safe and supportive environment for children and youth to engage in the arts, participate in a variety of sports, recreation and team-building activities, and enjoy a nutritious family style dinner. Our program offers a Let’s Chat peer group where children and youth have the opportunity to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, gain peer support and learn healthy coping strategies from trained mentors. Each week YCC’s cooking club enables youth to develop and practice basic culinary skills by collaboratively preparing snacks and dinner
