Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides M‚tis people in Saskatchewan the opportunity to pursue higher education and skills training. These opportunities are offered through the institute as well as its wholly controlled affiliates: Gabriel Dumont College Inc, Dumont Technical Institute Inc, Gabriel Dumont institute Press Inc, Gabriel Dumont Institute Training and Employment Inc. and the Gabriel Dumont Scholarship Foundation II. GDI and its affiliates provide education and training in numerous fields including but not limited to: teaching, practical nursing and heavy equipment operation. The organization also has a mandate to develop and provide culturally relevant publications and materials, library and archival services, curriculum development and acamedic research.
